DESCRIPTION:2026 “SPOTLIGHT SERIES” – We are super excited to kick off our new “SPOTLIGHT SERIES”\, Presented by: McDonalds\, Speed Lube\, Air King\, McLeod Express\, and Cromwell Media\, which focuses on the local talent\, but has a huge reward in the end\, for the band and the fan! The first season will showcase 13 bands from the central Illinois area and quite simply\, the band that has the most ticket sales at the end of 2026\, per box office report\, will ultimately be the winner! This band will earn a $6000 advertising package to be used for whatever they would like\, $10\,000.00 cash prize payout\, and an opening slot for a national act of their genre of music for the 2027 season at the Historic Lincoln Square Theater. The winner will also be crowned “King of the Hill” and will advance to the sophomore year with bragging rights and just may have a bounty on them. They can win again! The whole idea is for the local talent to be able to play the historic stage of the Lincoln Square Theater and also play over big sound and lights\, giving them a concert setting experience! Each band will also be given equal representation\, marketing\, and advertising to give them all a fair shake at the contest. It is also up to the band to think “outside the box” and promote themselves the best they can to also sell more tickets\, as this is how the winner will take the grand prize package! DESCRIPTION:The Historic Lincoln Square Theater is honored to welcome the return of ‘THE ACE FREHLEY BAND’\, with special guest: SIIN. This will be an amazing experience honoring the legendary & iconic Rock & Roll Hall of Famer\, ACE FREHLEY\, in downtown Decatur\, IL\, on Saturday\, December 12th\, 2026.\n\nAs many know\, ACE FREHLEY performed back in 2024 at the LST\, and it was easily one of our best concerts! It was so good that we actually had ACE and The Ace Frehley Band scheduled to return in 2025\, which obviously didn’t happen due to his unfortunate passing. ACE FREHLEY designed the iconic KISS logo and was the founding lead guitarist for KISS. Ace was one of the most iconic lead guitar players in rock’n ‘ roll history! The “Spaceman\,” or “Space Ace\,” was known for his bluesy\, hard-rock solos and legendary riffs. He was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2014\, and Guitar World magazine ranked him among the greatest metal guitarists of all time!\n\nThat said\, we will welcome “The Official ACE FREHLEY BAND”\, featuring ACE’s longtime touring & recording musicians\, delivering a powerful and authentic celebration of ACE FREHLEY’s legendary musical legacy. This salute to ACE\, with ‘THE ACE FREHLEY BAND’ and special guest SIIN\, will take place on Saturday\, December 12th\, 2026. Tickets will go on sale Wednesday\, August 19th @ 12:00 noon (CST).
